OAKLAND — A 28-year-old woman was wounded multiple times Monday morning in an apparent drive-by shooting in East Oakland, authorities said.

The woman, an Oakland resident, was in stable condition at a hospital.

The woman told police she was walking in the area of 86th Avenue and B Street about 5:10 a.m. Monday after leaving a party when she was shot by a man in a car which kept going after the shooting.

The woman was able to get a ride to the hospital from friends.

The woman told police she could not think of any reason why anyone would want to harm her, authorities said. No arrests have been made.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.  Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
