OAKLAND — A man fatally shot in East Oakland April 8 was identified by police Thursday as Derrick Prim, 45.
Prim, who authorities said was a transient, was found dead from gunshot wounds about 7:27 a.m. April 8 in the 3200 block of Davis Street in the Fruitvale area.
Investigators have not said what they think Prim was doing in the area. No motive has been released in the killing and no one has been charged in the case.
