OAKLAND — A man was shot multiple times Wednesday afternoon in East Oakland near Interstate 580, authorities said.
The man was able to get a ride from another person to a hospital, where he was initially reported to be in stable condition.
The shooting happened about 2:17 p.m. Wednesday in the 2700 block of Frazier Avenue.
Police were trying to determine if the man was shot by someone who confronted him on the street or was in a vehicle. No motive has been released and no arrests have been announced.
Frazier Avenue was blocked off while police investigated.
