OAKLAND — Two men were shot — one in a drive-by attack — Saturday afternoon and Saturday night in East Oakland, authorities said Sunday.
Both men were in stable condition. Police said the shootings were not related.
The Saturday night shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of International Boulevard.
Authorities said a 21-year-old man got into a verbal argument with another man who pulled a pistol and shot him.
The suspect fled in a vehicle and the wounded man got his own transportation to a hospital. Police did not say what the men were arguing about and no arrests were made.
The drive-by shooting happened about 2:10 p.m. Saturday in the 8500 block of MacArthur Boulevard near Castlemont High School.
A 51-year-old man told police he was walking on the sidewalk when a car pulled up and someone inside shot him before the vehicle drove off. The wounded man was taken to a hospital.
Police don’t have a motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made.
