OAKLAND — A 22-year-old woman was shot in East Oakland Friday night, authorities said Saturday.
She was in stable condition at a hospital.
The shooting happened about 10:57 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of 96th Avenue near Birch Street.
Officers responding to a ShotSpotter alert found several shell casings and blood on the pavement but no victim. It turned out the woman had gotten her own transportation to a hospital.
