OAKLAND — A 26-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in East Oakland on Monday evening, authorities said.
A parked car was also hit by the gunfire but the two men inside the vehicle were not injured, authorities said.
The shooting was reported at 5:52 p.m. in the 1400 block of 80th Avenue.
Police said the 26-year-old man was standing outside when at least two gunmen got out of a vehicle and began shooting at him.
The man was wounded and was able to get his own ride to a hospital where he was in stable condition. An errant bullet hit the parked car the other men were in.
The suspects fled before police got to the scene.
Police are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting and have not yet made any arrests. Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not released.
