OAKLAND — A man stabbed to death Tuesday morning in East Oakland was identified by police Wednesday as Eduardo Chavez.
Chavez, 42, of Oakland, was stabbed about 12:17 a.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Courtland Avenue. He died at the scene.
Police said the stabbing resulted from an argument of some kind between Chavez and another man, who fled before police arrived.
What the argument was about has not been determined. No arrest has been made.
