OAKLAND — Four people were wounded in three shootings that happened within five hours Saturday night and Sunday morning in East Oakland and downtown, authorities said.

Police said the shootings do not appear to be related. All of the victims were in stable condition at hospitals Sunday and were expected to recover.

About 12:40 a.m. Sunday an 18-year-old man was shot in the 1300 block of 65th Avenue in East Oakland. Police said he had gotten into a verbal dispute with a group of people when someone pulled a gun and shot him.

The suspect fled before police arrived. Police have not ruled out the possibility the shooting was gang-related.

About 9:22 p.m. Saturday another 18-year-old man was shot in the 1800 block of 88th Avenue, also in East Oakland.

The man had been sitting in a parked vehicle when someone began shooting at him. He got out of the vehicle and was trying to run away when he was shot, authorities said. No motive has been determined and no arrests made.

Police also said Sunday that no arrests have been made in the shooting of a man and woman that happened about 7:49 p.m. Saturday at 13th Street and Broadway downtown.

The 52-year-old man and 43-year-old woman were outside a Burger King restaurant when a man on foot began shooting at them. The man was hit in the upper body and the woman in the leg. The gunman fled in a car.  Police have not said if the victims knew each other or what the motive for the shooting was.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in the East Oakland shootings and up to $10,000 in the downtown shooting for information leading to the arrests of the suspects.  Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
