OAKLAND — A woman and a man wounded Saturday night by gunfire as they sat in a car in East Oakland were in stable condition Sunday authorities said.
Police said the shooting happened about 10:44 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of 95th Avenue.
Authorities said the 25-year-old woman and 24-year-old man were sitting in a car when at least one person outside the vehicle started shooting at them. They were able to get out of the vehicle and make it to a nearby home where police found them, and they were taken to a hospital. Their relationship was not immediately confirmed.
Police have not said if whoever fired the shots was on foot or in a vehicle. No motive has been released, and no arrests have been made.
