OAKLAND — A stabbing in East Oakland on Tuesday hospitalized a man in critical condition, police said.
The man was taken there after officers were called to the 1200 block of 71st Avenue around 11:42 a.m., police said. Police did not identify him, and they did not release any other information.
The stabbing added to a violent morning in East Oakland, where one man was shot to death and another hospitalized in critical condition in separate shootings a little more than five hours apart.
As in the shootings, police did not make any arrests in the stabbing. They haven’t said what the motive may have been.
