Man shot Monday night in Oakland dies from wounds

OAKLAND — A 36-year-old man shot multiple times Monday night as he sat in his truck in the Eastlake area died Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The man’s name has not been released.

The man was shot about 11:20 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of East 10th Street. After being shot, he was able to drive to the 900 block of Seventh Avenue where police were contacted. He was transported to a hospital, where he died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said.

Police don’t have a motive yet for the shooting and have not made any arrests.
