OAKLAND — A woman and a man were killed in separate East Oakland shootings on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, police said.
The man, whose name has not been released, was found dead around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of Chapman Street, in the Jingletown neighborhood, not far from Interstate 880, according to police.
Police said it appears he was shot around the corner, in the 500 block of 29th Avenue, and made it to Chapman Street where he collapsed and died.

In the Tuesday night shooting, Robesha Latoya Fields, 27, of Stockton, was found about 10:05 p.m. suffering from gunshot wounds in a vehicle that had crashed in the 400 block of Hale Avenue. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police believe the shooting happened nearby on Edes Avenue, and that another person may have been in the vehicle and fled after it crashed.
Investigators are trying to determine motives in each killing and have not made any arrests.
The two killings bring to 10 the number of homicides investigated by Oakland police this year.
Police are offering up to $10,000 in reward money in each killing, for information leading to arrest of a suspect. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3821 or Crime Stoppers of Oakland at 510-777-8572.
