PACIFICA — An Oakland man and a male Stockton teen were arrested early Sunday as suspects in the burglary of a cannabis retail business, police said.
Some other suspects were being sought.
In a news release Monday, police said about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a cannabis dispensary in the 1700 block of Palmetto Avenue for an audible burglary alarm.
Some suspects fled in vehicles as officers were responding to what turned out to be an actual burglary. Two people were observed fleeing the scene on foot, with one seen jumping over fences into nearby rear yards.
Officers from Pacifica, San Bruno, Daly City and South San Francisco, including one officer from South San Francisco with a police dog, set up a perimeter and began an extensive search that lasted more than 90 minutes, the release said.
During the search, a 20-year-old Oakland man and the Stockton teen were located in a rear yard of a residence on Santa Maria Avenue and were arrested without incident. An undisclosed amount of stolen property was recovered, but police did not say what it was or where it was found.
The two suspects were arrested on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy. The man was booked at the San Mateo County Jail and the juvenile at the San Mateo County Youth Services Center. The burglary remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 650-738-7314.
