OAKLAND — Two men were wounded in shootings that happened 10 minutes apart early Sunday in different areas of Oakland, police said.
Both men are expected to recover and the shootings are not related, authorities said.
The most recent shooting happened at 2:11 a.m. Sunday in the area of International Boulevard and Miller Avenue in East Oakland.
A 25-year-old man told police he was walking on International when someone in a vehicle fired shots at him, hitting him once. The vehicle fled and the wounded man got his own transportation to a hospital.
Police have no motive yet for the shooting and have not made any arrests.
At 2:01 a.m. Sunday a 23-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 1600 block of 16th Street in West Oakland. Authorities said more than one gunman shot at the man on the street before fleeing in a car. The man was transported to a hospital.
Police don’t have a motive yet for the shooting and no arrests have been made.
