OAKLAND — A man was in stable condition Thursday after he was shot multiple times Wednesday afternoon in East Oakland, authorities said.
The name of the 26-year-old man was not released. He is an Oakland resident,
The shooting happened at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of 53rd Avenue.
Authorities said the man got into a dispute of some kind with someone and ended up being shot more than once.
The shooter left in a car with some other people. The victim was driven to a hospital by another person.
Police have not yet said what the dispute that led to the shooting was about and no arrests have been made.
