Woman shot in Oakland

OAKLAND — A 22-year-old woman, who told police she was shot Sunday night in the Dimond district, was in stable condition Monday, authorities said.

The woman, who was taken to a hospital in another city by a relative, told police who contacted her there that the shooting happened at about 10:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Coolidge Avenue near MacArthur Boulevard.

The woman told police she was shot after she got into an argument with another person, authorities said. What the argument was about has not been disclosed.

No arrests have been made.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
