OAKLAND — A  26-year-old San Francisco man was shot to death early Saturday in the Adams Point area, authorities said.

The man’s name has not yet been released.

The shooting happened about 2:11 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Grand Avenue just west of Perkins Street.

Police said the man had just left a lounge in the area and was outside with some other people when two men got out of a vehicle and began shooting at them. The man died at the scene and the suspects fled in the vehicle before police arrived. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities said the other people who were outside when the shooting happened left before officers arrived and investigators are trying to locate them and determine if the man killed was the intended target of the shooters.

A motive for the shooting has not been determined yet and no arrests have been made.

The killing is the 26th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. Last year at this time police had investigated seven homicides in the city.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooters.  Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3821 or 510-238-7950 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
