OAKLAND — A 39-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Monday night in East Oakland, authorities said.
He was in stable condition Tuesday at a hospital.
The shooting happened about 10:21 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of International Boulevard.
The man told police he had been talking to someone on the sidewalk when a car drove by and someone inside began shooting at him. The man was the only one hit by the gunfire and he got his own transportation to the hospital.
The vehicle the suspect fired from was last seen going eastbound on International Boulevard.
Police are trying to determine a motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made.
