Man wounded in Richmond drive-by shooting

RICHMOND — A 28-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday afternoon, police said.

He was in stable condition Wednesday.

Police found the man, a Richmond resident, at about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday near 15th Street and Chanslor Avenue in the Iron Triangle area after responding to a ShotSpotter activation.

The man was taken to a hospital after getting medical aid at the scene.

Witnesses described the suspect as a male, driving a silver Honda Accord, who fled the area prior to officers arriving at the scene.

No motive has been released yet for the shooting.
