OAKLAND — A 22-year-old man was shot Monday night by the driver of another vehicle he had just been involved in a collision with in East Oakland, authorities said Tuesday.
The suspect fled the scene on foot after the shooting, leaving his vehicle behind.
The shooting happened about 9:24 p.m. Monday in the 5300 block of Bancroft Avenue at Vicksburg Avenue where the 22-year-old man’s vehicle was involved in a collision with the suspect’s vehicle.
Both men were outside their vehicles when the 22-year-old man was shot without warning, authorities said.
The wounded man was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition.
Police have not released a detailed description of the suspect or said what kind of vehicle he was driving.
