A woman passenger in the SUV was hospitalized with non-threatening injuries,  police said.

The collision was reported at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday on Stevenson Boulevard near Liberty Street.

Vieto was found lying unresponsive in the eastbound lanes of Stevenson Boulevard near the entrance to the Estates at Park Place. Despite first aid efforts by police and paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
