OAKLAND — A man was shot Monday morning near an East Oakland gas station, authorities said.
The man was able to get his own transportation to a hospital. His condition was not available.
The shooting happened about 11:50 a.m. near the intersection of 98th and Edes avenues on the street outside a gas station.
Police did not say if the shooter was on foot or in a vehicle or if the victim knew him. No motive has been determined yet and no arrests have been made.
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
