OAKLAND — A 24-year-old woman killed Saturday night in an East Oakland shooting that also left her friend wounded was identified by police Monday as Kadeja Tidwell.

Tidwell and her friend, a 23-year-old man, both Oakland residents, were walking in the 10200 block of International Boulevard about 9:15 p.m Saturday on their way to a store when they were shot by someone who approached them on the street, authorities said.

Tidwell died at the scene. The man was taken to a hospital and has since been released, police were told.  His name has not been released.

No motive has been determined yet and no arrests have been made.
