OAKLAND — Several members of an East Oakland gang have been arrested and others are still being sought in connection with a series of burglaries and robberies at marijuana grow locations and dispensaries throughout the Bay Area, according to police.

In raids Thursday, the Oakland Police Department’s Ceasefire Unit seized nearly 100 pounds of marijuana, numerous firearms including assault rifles and a large amount of cash, police said.
The arrests were made in Oakland, southern Alameda County and San Joaquin County. Police did not disclose the number of arrests, but said all of the suspects are men.
The most recent robbery the gang is suspected of committing occurred Thursday at a marijuana grow location on Foothill Boulevard in Hayward, according to police. The suspects allegedly beat and locked a person in a safe, then took a large amount of marijuana.
Capt. Ersie Joyner III, commander of the Ceasefire Unit, said members of the gang are suspected of numerous acts of violence in Oakland, including homicides and shootings. Created to curb gang violence, the unit works with individuals who are at the greatest risk of shooting or being shot and cracks down on those who continue to engage in violence.
