BERKELEY — “Oh, thank heaven for 7-Eleven” the jingle used to say, and someone playing the Fantasy 5 state lottery game at one of the stores here Sunday had a lot to be thankful for as they chose all five numbers and won $349,181, officials said.

The unknown player was the only one statewide to pick all five numbers, which were 4, 8, 11, 27 and 35.

The ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven store at 2601 Telegraph Ave.

A cashier at the store, who asked to be identified by only her first name, Mandy, said Monday she was not aware the winning ticket had been sold there until this newspaper alerted her. She said she had no idea who the winner was but whoever it is, “I’m happy for them.”

The winner has 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their money.

Fantasy 5 is played every night of the week. Monday’s jackpot was to be a minimum of $74,000.
