SAN LORENZO — A man suspected of attacking his sleeping girlfriend last week, leaving her with numerous facial fractures and other injuries, is being sought by Alameda County sheriff’s deputies.

Isaiah Gaar, 20, is wanted on a $200,000 probable cause arrest warrant accusing him of domestic violence and assault causing great bodily injury, authorities said Monday.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Ray Kelly said that Gaar began beating the woman this past Tuesday as she slept in her San Lorenzo home. She suffered significant facial fractures and a large cut above an eye, Kelly said.
Kelly said it is one of the worst beatings deputies have seen.
Authorities said Gaar fled in a 2014 light teal metallic colored Infiniti Q50 sedan with black and yellow California license plates N3R8930. The Infiniti has a solid bright yellow horizontal decal affixed across the upper portion of the front windshield.
Authorities said Gaar has links to San Lorenzo, Oakland, Emeryville and Vallejo.
Anyone with information about Gaar or where he might be is asked to contact sheriff’s Detective Jen Sells at 510-667-7721 or at jsells@acgov.org.
