OAKLAND — One man was killed and another man wounded in an East Oakland shooting Friday morning, authorities said.
The shooting happened about 4:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of International Boulevard, near 16th Avenue.
Both men were taken to a hospital where one of them died a short time later. Police said he was a 24-year-old resident of Daly City.
The other man, a 26-year-old resident of San Francisco, was in stable condition.
Police have not yet said if the men knew each other.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation. Police have not said why they think the men were in Oakland. No arrests have been announced.
The killing is the 26th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. Last year at this time police had investigated 32 homicides in the city.
