OAKLAND — Two students were detained Tuesday morning after shots were fired on the campus at Skyline High School.

No one was reported injured.

The shooting was reported at about 11:19 a.m. near the theater area of the campus, which is at 12250 Skyline Blvd.

Police said that two male students at the school were detained and a gun was recovered. What prompted the shooting was under investigation.

The school was placed on a lockdown before the campus was evacuated by police so they could do a more thorough search for evidence and other possible suspects. The evacuations and search continued until at least 12:35 p.m.

A request for comment from the school district had not been returned as of 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.

This is a developing report. Check back for updates.
