Man shot inside Oakland home

OAKLAND — A 46-year-old man was shot multiple times Thursday night inside his East Oakland home, authorities said.

The man was initially listed in critical condition but was later upgraded to stable, authorities said.

The shooting was reported about 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the man’s home in the 1600 block of 99th Avenue in the Iveywood area.

Authorities said the man was shot after getting into a dispute with another person inside the residence. The shooter fled before police got to the home.

Police did not release any information about the suspect or say what the argument was about.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
