Man shot inside Oakland home

OAKLAND — A 57-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot inside his West Oakland home Sunday night, authorities said.

The shooting was reported at 10:42 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of 14th Street.

Authorities said the man got into a dispute with a person he may have known and was shot in the chest.  What the dispute was about has not been determined.

The shooter left before police got to the home.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.

The shooting was one of at least seven Sunday throughout the day beginning about 4 a.m. Ten people were wounded in the shootings, among them a 22-year-old man fatally shot on 90th Avenue about 3:30 p.m. and a 6-year-old girl, a 52-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, all in stable condition, who were shot about 1:17 p.m. at a youth football game at Oakland Technical High School.
