OAKLAND — A shooting Tuesday near the West Oakland BART station left a 43-year-old Oakland man hospitalized with critical injuries, police said.
The shooting happened around 11:08 a.m. near the intersection of 7th and Center streets. The man apparently was shot in the street and was able to stagger to a nearby convenience store parking lot. He collapsed there, police said.
The parking lot is across the street from the West Oakland BART station.
