LIVERMORE — The death of a woman whose corpse was found Monday in Arroyo Las Positas Creek is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
The woman’s name has not yet been released by the coroner’s office because her next of kin has not been located.
The cause of her death is under investigation but foul play does not seem to be a factor, CHP Officer Tyler Hahn said Tuesday.
The woman was found around 2:26 p.m. Monday in the creek, which is on state property south of the eastbound lanes of Interstate 580 and east of North Livermore Avenue. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP has not said who found the woman or how long they believe she was dead.
Anyone with information about the death is asked to call the Dublin CHP office at 925-828-0466.
