OAKLAND — A man was killed and three other people were wounded, one during a robbery, in three East Oakland shootings Friday night, authorities said Saturday.

The shootings are not related, authorities said.

The fatal shooting, which claimed the life of a 25-year-old Oakland man and left a 23-year-old Stockton woman wounded, happened about 6:54 p.m. Friday at a gas station at 106th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard.

The shooting resulted from some kind of altercation involving another person who fled before police arrived. Both victims were taken to a hospital where the man died and the woman was in stable condition. Their names have not yet been released and police have not said if the two knew each other.

A motive for the shooting has not been released and no arrests have been announced.

The killing is the 31st homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. Last year at this time police had investigated 10 homicides in the city.

The robbery-related shooting happened about 9:35 p.m. in the 1200 block of 73rd Avenue.

A 31-year-old man told police he was standing on the sidewalk when two men approached him and demanded his money. He told police he was then shot before the men took cash from him and fled.

He was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition. The suspects are being sought.

The other shooting happened at about 8:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of East 17th Street.

A 53-year-old man told police he was walking when he heard gunfire and realized he had been shot in the leg. At least three parked vehicles were also hit by the gunfire but no other injuries were reported. Multiple shell casings were found on the street.

Police are trying to determine if the wounded man was the intended target or was hit by a stray bullet. A motive has not been determined yet for the shooting and no arrests have been made.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $15,000 in reward money in the fatal shooting and up to $5,000 in the other two shootings for information leading to the arrests of the suspects. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3821 or 510-238-7950 or 510-238-3326 or 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
