OAKLAND — A 42-year-old man was robbed of money and shot early Sunday in East Oakland, authorities said.
He was in stable condition at a hospital.
The robbery and shooting happened about 2:11 a.m. Sunday outside in the 7900 block of International Boulevard. The man told police he was confronted by another man who robbed him of some cash and then shot him in the leg.
Authorities said it is not known why the robber shot the man since he had already taken his money.
The suspect fled on foot, and the wounded man was able to get his own ride to a hospital.
A detailed description of the suspect was not released.
