OAKLAND — A 45-year-old man was shot multiple times early Saturday in East Oakland, authorities said.
The man, who lived in the area of the shooting, was in stable condition at a hospital, authorities said.
The shooting happened about 1:45 a.m. Saturday outside in the 2500 block of 26th Avenue.
Authorities said the man was shot after he got into a confrontation with some other people he apparently did not know.
Police have not confirmed what the confrontation was about. The other people fled before police got to the scene. A detailed description of the shooter has not been released.
