BERKELEY — A man who sexually assaulted a woman Sunday night on the UC Berkeley campus is being sought by police, authorities said Thursday.
In an alert posted on their website, campus police said the assault happened about 9 p.m. Sunday in the area of the Campanile Esplande and that the woman had met the suspect online.
A detailed description of the suspect was not released.
Police have not said if the victim was a Cal student nor did they provide her age, but they did say specific details about the assault are not being described “to protect the integrity of the investigation.”
